Dumping month

Last month was the month of the deaths, this month is the one of the dumped ones. It looks like everyone wants to get rid of its partner before the end of august for some reason.
- 1st was my friend C.
- 2nd my flatmate
- 3rd myself as my partner announced me nicely on the phone as i was shopping
- 4rd my friend L. is talking about breaking up too even though she changes her mind twice a day
- Who's next?

In regards to this list of people that are close to me + the others that I won't mention, it looks that I'm only a statistic so I guess I should be ok and get over it. Well one day, I'm kind of glad and ready for the next ones and the next day I feel sorry for myself and just want her back so at this stage I don't know if it a good thing. Well, it cannot be a good thing to loose a loved one even though there are pretty good reasons to do so.

No Work, No Purchases and No Cell for a day!

This is a call for an Atlanta, Georgia-based, nation-wide boycott in the traditions of Gandhi and Dr. Martin Luther King. It's initiators are asking all GLBT Americans and their Straight Allies to "drop out" of the United States economy for one day (8 October 2004) to demonstrate that they are vital and important members of their respective communities with significant economic presence. There are three elements to the boycott: No Work, No Purchases and No Cell Phones. To learn more about the Boycott, log onto http://www.boycottforequality.com/
I don't live in US so can't participate but I think this is an ace idea to protest.

20hz Forum - Montreal

I found this really cool messageboard:20hz Forum - Montreal. It lists all the cool parties and alternative concerts in Montreal performed by small groups. There is new stuff coming up everyday so it is best to check anytime you want to go out.

The first digital radio station in Quebec to offer urban music.

While picking up my tickets at Aria, I took a flyer about a newly created Quebec radio called Soundbeat Radio. It's a free online radio. I tuned in and it is quite interesting. The music is electronic (house and techno) which I like and Hip-Hop, Pop, R&B and Trip-Hop which I don't like as much. It is supported by local clubs and features Montreal dj's from the different clubs. You need to register first (for free) to be able to listen to the radio. The registration is in French only which is kind of weird since Montreal is bilingual and that most of what they air is English content. Go figure out!:-/ For more radio from Montreal (and Quebec province), check this interesting link.

New look and features for my blog!:-)

Yeah! I updated the template of this blog since blogger is now offering loads of cool new features that were conflicting with my old template. I can now post pictures on my blog so there is the first one, just to show you my mood of the day. The only problem is that I can only post jpeg format picture and that all the cool ones I have are in another one though. Bugger! Posted by Hello This thing is call 'Hello' and is powered by goggle. I guess they are trying to replace msn coz you can share and view pics online very easily and chat with your friends. Anyway, I don't care about that stuff, i just use it to upload and store pics on my blog for free.
Blogger also offer comments now so they are back too. Maybe more features in the next few days. Who knows?
