Rock dykes at Unity II

Yesterday, I went to Club Unity II again. There were some performers playing this time. Lesbians On Ecstasy (rock dykes band turning lesbians classics from Melissa Etheridge & co into rock electro tunes), Plastic Patrick, Frigid (who was absolutely fabulous!) and Eva Stone. All in all, a great party!

Hockey Game

I went to see my first hockey game last night, Montreal vs Vancouver The Canadiens of Montreal lost but it didn't really matter, the show was just so amazing. Imagine a massive stadium packed with more than 22000 people watching and cheering these guys on the ice rink. The music, the lights, the atmosphere... It's absolutely great! So far my ranking of Canadian games is the following: 1.Hockey; 2: American Football; 3: Baseball (very very boring!)

Jesus is alive!

Gosh, this is amazing. This guy hasn't eaten nor dronk for the last 65 years and he's still alive and kicking. Is it the famous Jesus I've been told about when I was kid?;-)

Exams finished

Yeaaahhhhhhhh! Exams are finally finished!!! I had 4 exams this weekend to take for my courses. I think it went well so it's all good but I feel like I have 3 days jetlagged to recover from. I haven't slept much and my biological clock is all messed up. Well, no time to rest, I have an assignment to prepare for tomorrow morning and the public transport are on strike in Montreal so I can't even go for some well deserved shopping frenezy...aaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!!!
Anyway, I'm happy these 3 days of exam's nightmare are finish.
I would like to thank those pills called 'Wake up' that they sell here and that allowed me to stay awake during my exams.;-) X

Bush in London

Today, Bush arrived in London for a three days visit. I wish I was there to protest against this war criminal. I hope interesting events are going to happen to him to make him think about how an idiot he is. Anyway, some people summed up very well what we all think about him by writing open letters. Ipod

It's been a long time that I want an ipod. These little things are damn cute and handy but so expensive. Also since I have broadband internet, I have been downloading more than 10 GB of songs (=1720 songs) so it's about time that I finally buy an ipod to take advantage of this. I was thinking a buying a 20 Gb one but at the rate at which I download and at which my musical taste is extending, I guess I'll go for a 40gb one. I've decided and that's going to be my Christmas treat for this year!:-)
It will help me to stay at the gym longer for sure and maybe I could participate to these MP3 DJing contest:Goodbye Turntables: iPod DJ's & MP3J's: "The New DJ Revolution: mp3j's (and iPods) ".;-)

Naked news

They finally found a way to make watching news interesting... Have a look at Naked News ~ the program with nothing to hide. It's a light-hearted daily Internet news program based in Toronto and seen by millions of viewers around the world each month.
The so called male and female 'journalists' are stripping while reading real news. On their website, they say that 'Entrants must be qualified, articulate and fit with a sense of fun.' Sounds like a career to me!;-)

Sttellla concert

I went to see a concert of Sttellla (Belgian group) last night. I was actually invited by a French Canadian friend to watch the show, which surprised me because I had no clue that Sttellla was big in Montréal and... HE IS!

The group was very big in Belgium years ago when I was still student but since then I haven't heard from them but again I wasn't in Belgium for the last 4 years...

Anyway, it was a great show! Really hilarious and the place was crowded full of French Canadian, some Belgians fans, some French and Swiss people. The place wasn't too big so after the show when the crowd left, we waited while having a last drink at the bar and Jean Luc Fonck (the singer) and the other members of the band (his gf, Juliette, Mimi) came to chat with us which was sooo cool.
I was chatting with his new gf who happened to be English from Nottingham. The funny thing is that first he didn't believe I was Belgian...God Dammit!;-)

Strange laws in Canada

I found some strange laws in Canada created decades if not centuries ago which are still in the books although some are no longer enforced. These 'strange' laws made sense in the past but today are hilarious. Make sure not to drag a dead horse down Yonge Street on a Sunday if you live in Toronto!

First night out at Unity II

I went to Club Unity II last night. DJ Frigid was playing. He's so androgyne and gorgeous.
Montreal is much better than I thought initially, the more I discover it, the more I realise that it is very much like London. Unity II on Thursday is a bit like NagNagNag. Loads of Gay, Bi, Straight, cool and a bit crazy. The music style is electro punk trash, just like NagNagNag. I feel home again!;-)

New purpose of this Blog

Yeah! Following the advice of Mia, I'm updating this blog and I started another one about my MBA experience in Montreal.
The reason why I update two blogs is that as a good Gemini, I have 2 sides in my life. The MBA serious straight one which is interesting but sooo boring at times. This one blog is for when I can't think straight no more and need to publish some unpolitically correct or useless stuff. We'll see how it goes but I like it that way!;-)
